The “Original Young Poetess” or “OYP” is Aly. She runs YP and handles submissions, editorial issues, making sure the site runs smoothly.

Youngpoetess.com accepts poetry of girls and boys aged 11 to 19. Our Honorary Poetess section is here to feature poetic guys!

Young poetess reserves the right to reject poetry if it contains content that could be deemed “inappropriate”, racist, sexist or “gory”. So keep this in mind when submitting! Read our submission guidelines.
